HEY!  Elementary Music and P.E. teachers!

All students need a daily routine.  BUT WHAT?     How about one that promotes physical activity, practices aural skills, develops independent singing, and encourages higher level thinking skills?  (And gives teachers time to evaluate students or time for last minute preparations?)   When some states implemented the requirement for daily physical activity, it became necessary for many schools to come up with a system to accommodate for missing time. Integrated Music and P.E. is the answer.

I.M.P. marches music into the gym.  Students use aural skills to go through sets of exercises with added rhythmic patterns and melodic chants.  Musical changes prompt quick responses, improving students' reactive reflexes as well as helping to coordinate and improve motor skills and physical strength through order and discipline.

I.M.P. bounces P.E. into music with Kinesthetic learning using several loco motor movements following maze-like pathways to various musical stimuli of different drumming patterns while singing up to five different melodic and rhythmic patterns to develop independent singing and promoting higher level thinking skills.  (Now that was a mouthful!)

I.M.P. is the one routine to jointly use music and Kinesthetic learning to develop aural skills, encourage independent singing, while developing motor skills and physical strength in a fun and safe manner.

I truly believe that I.M.P. (Integrated Music & P.E.) benefits both students and teachers alike.

I.M.P. (Integrated Music & P.E.) is available in pdf format or booklet form (includes examples and directions, sample pathway formations, sample seating chart, sheet music, lyrics, and Texas teks used for music and p.e.) both accompanied by a cd usable both in the gym or music classroom.  Order yours today!

Workshops are available for Music and P.E. Educators or will come and work with your class.   Contact me for more information.
